Roll up, Roll up Now

It’s been busy round these parts lately! Lots to talk about. First off thanks so much to everyone who came to our shows in Aberdeen and Edinburgh over the weekend and to everyone who popped into Avalanche and Lovemusic for our instores. (Remember you can buy physical cd’s at those lovely shops if you want to.) We’ve been having a blast playing these songs live and seeing people gradually getting to know the newer album tracks and having some of you even singing along at the shows has been just awesome.

This week we’re off up north, by far one of our favourite directions, to play in Inverness, Stornoway, and Aviemore. We can’t wait for a nice wee road trip. We’ll be stocked up on Cornetto’s and crisps for some sweet ipod DJ sessions. While we’re away though we wanted to leave y’all with something to watch. That’s why last week we teamed up with the amazingly talented Richard and Jolene from Precious Productions to film acoustic versions of every song on the album in the very live room at The Diving Bell Lounge in Glasgow where we recorded them over 6 months ago. We all crowded round one mic, Jolene and Richard set up cameras and we just filmed performances of each song and left them as they were. They look great and we’re really happy with the way they turned out, so what we’ll be doing is that over the next 10 weeks we’ll be posting each song in the order they appear on the record. Click here to head over to our youtube channel where you can watch both the intro and the first video in the series for ‘All Your More Buoyant Thoughts’.

Next week we’ll post ‘Without the Help of Sparks’ and so on and so forth. We really hope you like them, so check it out and let us know what you think. See some of you this week!
